More about us and our love of food

Our adventure started in 2011 when we opened a small cafe in a leafy Leeds suburb. Sebby's quickly became a popular place for locals to share a coffee, grab a quick lunch or put the world to rights over a wedge of our delicious homemade cake!

Fast forward six years and we've moved a few doors away to a bigger premises, so more people can enjoy our breakfasts and other tasty treats.

Inside Sebby's

Located in leafy Far Headingley on Otley Road, Sebby’s is owned and operated by Helen and Robert. We have 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry between us and pride ourselves on our friendly service and looking after our guests.

We have grown from the original intimate cafe with 12 seats - into a relaxing, welcoming space perfect for socialising with friends and family. Sebby’s is named after our camper van, a wonderful GMC Safari whom we called home for a straight 5 months. We travelled overland across the United States, visiting a mega 40 states – starting and ending in San Francisco!

We are very proud to bake our own delicious cakes and prepare all our sandwich fillings fresh everyday, as well as ensuring our guests don’t get bored by creating new weekly specials!

Our menu reflects our favourite ingredients and combinations, which in turn, have been influenced by our travels and most memorable eating experiences. We welcome new sandwich suggestions and ideas for specials, so if you’ve tasted something worth talking about, come down to Sebby’s and let’s see what we can do!

During our travels we visited alot of small towns, where we experienced a real sense of community. However, this didn’t just exist in the smaller towns and villages we stumbled across, but even in the major cities like San Francisco and New York City.

Our aim at Sebby’s is to not only provide a great place to eat and meet up with friends, but to become actively involved in the community and integrate into the area. We regularly provide raffle prizes for local charity events, such as St Gemma’s Hospice in Moortown and provide a free community noticeboard for local events and independent businesses to advertise.
